Mihai Trăistariu, nightmare nights in Mamaia Nord, on mini-vacation: “My walls have cracked from the bass”

The artist Mihai Trăistariu claims that he had two nightmare nights during the May 1st mini-holiday, because of a festival organized in Mamaia Nord, near the block where he owns several studios. He complained about the extreme noise and strong vibrations, which affected his sleep and would have caused cracks in the walls of the houses.

According to the artist, the event held at the resort generated a high level of noise throughout the nights.

“I haven’t slept at all, it’s like a continuous earthquake”, declared Mihai Trăistariu, referring to the intensity of the sound felt in his apartments.

The artist states that the vibrations produced by the music from the festival were so strong that they were felt in the structure of the building.

“It’s not just the music, it’s the block shaking from the foundations. Like an earthquake with 10,000 aftershocks”he said, describing the two sleepless nights, according to Click!

He claims that the situation continued throughout the event, with music playing throughout the night and into the early hours of the morning. “From 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. You can’t sleep,” added the artist.

“My bass walls cracked”

After the end of the festival, Mihai Trăistariu states that he noticed some damage in his homes. “Yesterday I had a wall in my bass. It’s probably like that in the whole area”, he said, noting that he is going to check the situation and see if other neighbors have complained of similar problems.

The artist does not criticize the organization of the events itself, but considers that their location near residential areas is problematic.

“I totally understand the fun because I sang too <>, <>, <> and <> in hundreds of clubs and discotheques. But. it must be taken into account that there are also people who want and need to sleep. We are thousands of people who live in Mamaia Nord. Yes, here, at these blocks! I also understand that there is a lot of money involved and that it is a shame to miss the mayor’s office!. (…)I agree with the festivals, but they must be taken to the end of the resort, where there are no homes. I’m angry that those who organized the festival didn’t think!” he declared.

He also compared the situation with other similar events organized in isolated spaces, arguing that such measures are necessary to not affect the residents.

According to his statements, not only he would have been affected by the noise, but also other tenants in the area, who would have reported to the authorities.

“Many neighbors told me that they filed complaints with the City Hall. (…) I have problems, more recently, with sleep. Last year, I had heart problems. I didn’t sleep for 15 nights, I don’t know for what reason and my heart went wrong. Now I have to be very careful with my sleep. I must sleep nine hours a night! These festivals destroy people’s health! Who is responsible if he has a heart attack?!”, said Mihai Trăistariu, for Click!
