“At least until this moment we have not identified any medical fault, but I do not want to make a preliminary statement until the Prosecutor's Office pronounces a conclusion, because we do not want to influence the investigation in any way”, Rafila stated.
He specified that it was “definitely an internal conflict”. “That was also the conclusion of the Control Body from the Ministry of Healthwe asked the manager for a plan of measures that would lead to the appropriate exercise of the duties of each person who is in the Hospital's Steering Committee”, Rafila also said, specifying that “disagreements between those in the hospital must not in any way affect the safety of patients , the image of the hospital and neither the image of the health system, because the services are much greater than some or others imagine”, said Rafila to digi24.ro.
Rafila also said that he is also affected by the scandal and that all efforts to change mentalities are compromised by so-called scandals, such as the one in Pantelimon.
“If we turn personal stakes into matters that compromise the work of some people, whether they are doctors, nurses, this is, from my point of view, impermissible”added the Minister of Health, adding that “professional bodies, whether we are referring to the College of Doctors from Bucharest or the Order of Medical Assistants from Bucharest, should take a position in this case”.
