Geoană submitted an official request to register the campaign logo, according to Radu Bozocea, specialist in intellectual property rights and partner at the intellectual property agency Weizmann and Ariana Partners.
Bozocea is the one who identified the logo registered by the former PSD leader in the Official Bulletin of Intellectual Property for the requests from June 28-30.

“First of all, there is a period of two months for oppositions and submission of observations by any third party who believes that there are reasons that the slogan or logo submitted by the applicant should not be registered and therefore assigned. This is also the most important period, exceeding it subsequently presupposes more formal procedures and the result is the issuance of the trademark certificate. So until the date of the elections, it will be partially known whether the filed trademark can be used legitimately by the applicant, probably that is why this time of filing the application was chosen“, the intellectual property rights specialist told the quoted source.
We remind you that the Deputy General Secretary of NATO has not officially announced his presidential candidacy. After several tensions regarding the calendar of the presidential elections, the first round will take place on November 24, and the second round on December 8.
The cited source sent Mircea Geoană’s team a request to Mircea Geoană’s team in order to comment on the information regarding the registration of the campaign logo, but by the time the article was published, he had not received a response.
