Mircea Lucescu wants to find himself abroad. The Romanian doctors sent him home, to prepare the dam with Turkey

Mircea Lucescu (80 years old) seems to have successfully overcome the medical crisis that sent him to the hospital bed. The Romanian national football coach was discharged today, but will continue to be closely monitored by doctors.

Initially hospitalized for a heart rhythm disorder, Mircea Lucescu returned to the hospital last Tuesday, after contracting a rebellious flu, with a fever of over 39 degrees.

At the same time, Lucescu is analyzing the option of going abroad, to be subjected to a complete set of investigations, writes gsp.ro.

The selector’s problems started before New Year’s Eve, which is why he did not go to see the Romanian teams in the training camp in Antalya, as happened last year.

“Il Luce” is preparing in detail the match against Turkey, on March 26 (Istanbul), in the semi-final of the pool for access to the World Championship in 2026.

If it passes Turkey, Romania will play in the final for the WC with the winner of the match Slovakia – Kosovo, on March 31.

At the final tournament, Romania will play in Group D of the World Cup. Opponents would be the USA (one of the organizing countries), Australia and Paraguay.
