The interim Minister of Education, Mihai Dimian, announced on Tuesday, July 21, that 6,345 teachers passed the final national exam in pre-university education.
The results can be consulted HERE. According to the minister, this year approximately 10% more teachers passed the exam than last year, when the initial results indicated 5,784 admitted candidates. At the same time, 40 teaching staff obtained an average of 10 in the exam.

The final exam in education, also known as the final exam, evaluates the professional skills of teaching staff, and its passing confers the right to exercise the profession, in accordance with the standards provided by the legislation in force, explained Irina Ștefania Broscaru, deputy general school inspector of the Dolj County School Inspectorate, quoted by Edupedu.
“The exam to be completed is structured in two stages. The first stage consists of two special classroom inspections and a personal professional portfolio, which is also an eliminatory test. In order to pass to the next stage, candidates must obtain at least an average of 8, but they cannot obtain less than a grade of seven in each test. The second stage consists of the written test”. explains this.
The school inspector adds that the final exam is essential for the teaching career, because only after passing it can novice teachers occupy a position for an indefinite period (they can become tenured) and can register for teaching degrees.
She specified that the number of candidates decreased due to the withdrawals, especially of those on parental leave, of some teachers who did not meet the minimum one-year seniority condition at the department, but also as a result of the increase in teaching standards, which reduced the number of teaching staff.
