New details have emerged about the deaths of Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were discovered Sunday, December 14, in their home in Brentwood, Los Angeles.
The death certificates were released by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, obtained by TMZ and reported by several US publications.
They show that Rob Reiner’s body was found at 3:45 p.m., and Singer Reiner’s at 3:46 p.m.
The cause of death for both is listed as “multiple stab wounds” and the circumstances are described as “murder” and “with a knife, by another person”writes The Guardian.
The interval between the onset of the attack and death is referred to as “minutes”while the exact time and date of death are recorded as “unknown”.
To the rubric “disposition type”the certificate states “cremation/residence”but there is no confirmation that cremation has taken place.
Two of Reiner’s children issued a new statement Tuesday, saying a memorial service is being planned: “Jake and Romy Reiner remain grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have received. They will provide information about a memorial service honoring their parents at a later date.”
The Reiners’ son, Nick Reiner, appeared in court on Dec. 17 but did not enter a plea. He is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on January 7.
