Nicușor Dan, about USR’s proposals for Defense and Economy: “They are people I trust”

President Nicușor Dan declared that he trusts Radu Miruță and Irineu Darău, proposed by USR for the portfolios of Defense and Economy, emphasizing that both are people he relies on.

President Nicușor Dan was asked, on Thursday, if USR consulted him before proposing Radu Miruță for the position of Minister of Defense.

In his response, the head of state clearly stated that he has confidence in both nominations made by USR. “And for Mr. Miruță, and for Mr. Darău. They are people I trust“, said Nicușor Dan, according to News.ro.

The USR’s proposals for the two ministries are to be analyzed and validated on Friday, within the party’s Political Committee. USR proposes Radu Miruță for the Ministry of Defense and Irineu Darău for the Ministry of Economy.

Currently, Radu Miruță holds the position of Minister of Economy and is, at the same time, interim Minister of Defense, after the resignation of Ionuț Moșteanu.
