“I think Romania has three problems. One of them is the force of the state, the functioning of the institutions. Romania is a weak state today and of course this problem is correlated with corruption, which is at an intolerable level.
The second problem is that Romania does not have a country direction, that is, we work in a routine and we are waiting for people from Brussels or from other parts to tell us in which direction to go. (…)
And thirdly, the Romanian society is divided into many levels and did not have a president to play the role of mediator.
