On the occasion of the Children’s Day, the President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, sent an emotional message in which he emphasized the importance of protecting and supporting children, considering that every decision taken today must take into account the good of future generations.

On June 1, the International Children’s Day, President Nicușor Dan spoke about the values that should guide the Romanian society: care, responsibility and investment in children. In a post published on Facebook on Sunday, he emphasized the essential role of the little ones in building the future of the country.
“Today, on June 1, we celebrate the innocence, joy and hope that the children bring to our lives. It is a day when we remember how precious they are and how important it is to offer them a future in which they can grow with dignity, education, health and love ”wrote Nicuşor Dan.
The good of future generations, criterion for any decision
The president drew attention to the collective responsibility we have towards the children of Romania. He insisted that all decisions, both at the individual and institutional level, should have as main landmark the good of the little ones.
“Each decision we make, as a society and as a state, must have the good of the following generations. The future of Romania is built on care, responsibility and investment in children.“
A thought for children in difficulty
Nicușor Dan did not forget the children who face difficulties, stressing that the support and attention of the society must constantly turn to them.
“Today we must not forget about the children who go to bed, those who grow away from their parents who went abroad, those who live in poverty, shortcomings or suffering. We have a duty to think about them – not only today, but every day. Happy birthday, children! Romania tomorrow is yours. ”
The message of the president comes as a call to national consciousness, on a day dedicated to celebrating childhood, but also reflection on the future we want for all children in Romania.
