President Nicușor Dan sent a special message on the teacher’s day, which is celebrated every year in Romania on June 5, on Thursday.

“For our children, teachers are their first connection with the joy of knowing and understanding reality. They are the ones who, with much love, turn childhood games in ways to discover the world.”said President Nicușor Dan.
He also said that “their effort is essential for the education in Romania, being the ones who, by attention to the specific needs and with appropriate teaching methods, can support each child to continue the school without abandoning and reaching their entire potential.”
“Education lays the foundations of the society tomorrow. And in this process, the teacher has a complex role, which means not only competence, but also balance, patience and vision. In order for this mission to be met successfully, the state has the obligation to ensure all the necessary conditions: appropriate resources, stability and predictability.said Nicușor Dan.
The head of the Romanian state thanked “To all those who make education an act of responsibility, not just a profession”.
Every year, since 2007, on June 5 in Romania, the teacher’s day is celebrated. Since 2024, it has become a day off for education staff and, implicitly, for students.
