The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, sent a confidence message in the future of the country, within the Congress of the National Liberal Party, held on Saturday. The head of state recognized the mistakes committed by PNL, but emphasized the importance of assuming the government.

“PNL made mistakes, but also made two important things. He has maintained the correct direction for Romania and has assumed difficult decisions in critical times-and this is such a moment”, The president said in front of the liberals gathered at the Congress.
Nicușor Dan drew attention to the pressure on the decisions that the current government will make in order not to lose the confidence of the Romanians: “It is very important that PNL has assumed its government. We are all obliged to repair all the things that have been wrong in society in the coming years. Otherwise, Romanians will no longer forgive us in 2028.
Because it is a moment of doubt, I want to convey to you that Romania has a future-not over 20-30 years, but over 2-3 years, as soon as we go through this necessary period of correction ”, said Nicușor Dan.
The head of state praised the Romanian private sector, which he said is “dynamic and competitive”, and spoke about the country’s economic prospects: “Romania has a real chance of entering the OECD and attracting many more foreign investments by the end of next year.“
Nicuşor Dan also announced a press conference. “Monday, at 10:00, press conference and I will answer all the questions,” said the president before attending the Extraordinary PNL Congress.
