Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu declared, on Thursday, on Europa FM, that she considers Nicusor Dan “a very gang type”at least as he was in his youth, “a special guy with a fabulous sense of humor, even if the world doesn’t know it.” She explained that she supported him every time he ran for office, being convinced that he is “a very honest and very smart man”.

“I was a college classmate with a former high school classmate of his and when he returned from France to Bucharest, we were in a gang and he came back and I think I told at one point, when he was a candidate many years ago, on Facebook, that when my colleague, Mihaela, told me “Nicusor will come, he is a very cool, Olympian, international mathematician”, I had great emotions, that I thought there would be a crisp that would spoil the vibe of the gang and I was thinking: “mathematician, what am I going to talk to this man”. But Nicusor Dan is a very cool guy and, at least that’s how he was in his youth, after that we didn’t see each other for many years, because everyone went their separate ways. She added that they had met before over time. “In 2012, I think we met before and then I supported the candidacy and, in fact, I supported Nicusor as many times as he ran, because I sincerely believe that he is a very honest and very smart man”, the deputy prime minister also said.
