The event, entitled Romanian Community Summit 2025, has reached its third edition and aims to bring together leaders and members of the diaspora for “To transform the vision into action”according to the official presentation. The summit was financed through the Department for Romanians everywhere.
“Welcome to the Romanian Community Summit 2025, in the third edition of an event that brings to one place leaders and artisans of the diaspora for one purpose: to transform the vision into action. The summit is a dynamic platform, which launches innovative initiatives and pave the way for a prosperous future.”is shown in the presentation of the event.
During the summit, Oana Țoiu approached the US for the first time, on the US territory, the assassination of Charlie Kirk, an American activist close to Donald Trump, an event that was not commented in Romania. The minister emphasized the severity of the attack and sent a message about the importance of dialogue and respect for ideas.
“At Chicago, for the summit of the Romanian community, hosted by Christian Heritage Academy. The place, which activist Charlie Kirk described as fundamental to his beliefs, has a deep significance after his recent tragic death. It is a serious warning: we must have the courage of our ideas, and when we do not agree, these ideas should never be argued,”wrote Țoiu on X.
