The first student holiday of the 2024-2025 school year will begin on 26 October, providing a break in the module-based structure of the 2024-25 school year.
Within the structure of the 2024-2025 school year, the first holiday for students is scheduled for October 26. This October vacation will be for both general education students, grades I-VIII, and high school students, grades IX-XII. Autumn vacation will last one week. Thus, all elementary and high school students will be free between October 26 and November 4.
After the implementation of the modular system starting from the 2022-2023 school year, the October vacation becomes the norm. Students will have a week of rest between October 26 and November 3, the first after classes start on September 9. Module II of the courses will start on November 4 and will run until December 20, 2024.
Other holidays scheduled in 2024-2025
The next major holiday will be the Christmas holiday, which will begin on December 21, 2024 and end on January 7, 2025.
After that, the school year will continue with Module III, which will start on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, and will run until Friday, February 7, 2025, Friday, February 14, 2025 or Friday, February 21, 2025.
The third holiday, the skiing holiday, is scheduled between February 10 and March 2, 2025, and the date will be determined by the school inspectorates.
Module IV of the school year will start on Monday, February 17, 2025. Depending on the decisions of the school inspectorates in each county or in the municipality of Bucharest, this module can also start on February 24 or March 3, 2025. Module IV will take place, as the case may be, until Thursday, April 17, 2025.
Spring break for the 2024-2025 school year structure will begin on Friday, April 18, 2025, and will run through Sunday, April 27, 2025.
Module V of the 2024-2025 school year will begin on Monday, April 28, 2025, and will run until Friday, June 20, 2025. The summer vacation, which marks the end of the school year, will begin on Saturday, June 21, 2025, and will last until Sunday , September 7, 2025.
