CSM Olimpia Satu Mare and Bogdan Lobonț put an end to the partnership that began in January 2025. The former Romanian international held the position of sports director, but the modest results of the current season led to an amicable separation between the two parties.

The newly promoted side are going through a difficult time in League 2, accumulating only 4 points in 10 matches, which puts them in last position in the standings. Following this situation, the club’s management decided, in agreement with Bogdan Lobonț, to end the collaboration.
“The CSM Olimpia Satu Mare club and the technical director Bogdan Lobonț reached an agreement regarding the amicable termination of the collaboration. Arriving in Satu Mare in January 2025, Bogdan Lobonț had a key role in promoting the club’s football team in League 2 Casa Pariurilor. We thank him, in this way, for the dedication and seriousness with which he has always carried out his activity and we wish him much success in the future!
In the following period, technical training will be provided by Zoltan Ritli – head coach, Botoș Sandor – second coach and Csorvasi Tamás – goalkeeper coach“, according to the official statement of CSM Olimpia Satu Mare.
Olimpia Satu Mare: one win, one draw and eight defeats
Bogdan Lobonț’s involvement in the Olimpia Satu Mare team increased significantly after the departure of coach Alexandru Botoș at the end of August. Together with Zoltan Ritli, the former goalkeeper actively contributed to the team’s preparation, both in training and during matches. However, the evolutions of the formation did not convince the management, and the two parties came to the conclusion that a separation is the best solution.
Olimpia is going through a difficult season in League 2, with a poor record: a single win (1-0 against Metalului Buzău), a draw (1-1 with CSC Şelimbăr) and eight defeats. With only 4 accumulated points and a negative goal difference (9-27), the team occupies the last position in the ranking.
