Romanians Ancuța Bodnar and Simona Radiș, the reigning Olympic champions, qualified, Saturday, in the semifinals of the women’s double rowing event at the Olympic Games in Paris, after clearly winning the third series.

Bodnar and Radiş were timed with a time of 6 min 48 sec 49/100, being almost seven seconds faster than the Czech Republic, ranked second in the series. The first three teams in each series qualified for the semifinals, writes Agerpres.
The two Romanians set the best Olympic time in this event in Tokyo in 2021, 6 min 41 sec 03/100.
The semifinals of the women’s double sculls will take place on July 30, and the final is scheduled for August 1.
