The cross is part of a campaign to raise awareness and remove the stigma related to mental health

Romanians are invited to sign up for the charity race organized on June 15, in Herăstrău Park in Bucharest. Funds obtained from the registration fee will be donated in full to the Center, which provides free counseling and psychotherapy services to individuals and families in need.

“The Run for Heroes event is more than just a race; it is a symbol of recognition and appreciation for our everyday heroes. For us, this initiative, through which the community comes together to honor and support the brave people who cross our threshold at the Social Psychotherapy Center, is a dream come true”mentioned Răzvan Popa, President of the Social Center for Psychotherapy TFH.

Knowing that movement significantly reduces stress hormones in the body, the Run for Heroes humanitarian race will organize competitions for all categories of participants:

Endurance runners can participate in the 7 km race around the Herăstrău lake, with the start/finish point at Roaba de Cultură.

Families with children under the age of 16 years will run together over a distance of 1 km in the Parents and Children race.

Participants can come dressed in Superhero costumes, to create unforgettable memories for young and old alike. For those who do not have a superhero costume, we have prepared many accessories for each participant.

People with disabilities can participate in the 1 km race for free for Persons with Disabilities, on a route adapted to their needs, ensuring accessibility and comfort.

Run for Heroes is the latest civic engagement initiative through which the Social Psychotherapy Center contributes to lifting the stigma on mental health, thus building a healthy future in which mental well-being, mental and physical health are an integral part.

People present at the event: Cătălin Bordea, Anca Dinicu, Maria Popovici, Anca Bucur and many others. Information on taking part in the Run for Heroes humanitarian run, as well as organization details and entry fees, is available on the campaign website
