In a significant moment for its history, the “Ion Neculce” National College marks 100 years since its establishment by launching a first-of-its-kind initiative for students, teachers and the local community. Under the motto “#SiEuSuntNeculce”, the institution organizes a series of meet-and-greet events, which bring together students, teachers and successful graduates of the institution.
The aim of these gatherings is to support the personal and professional development of students through direct interaction with distinguished alumni from various fields of activity such as health, art, media and business. Through these dialogues, they will be able to broaden their horizons of knowledge, clarify their interests and set realistic goals for the future.
“With the celebration of the centenary of the National College «Ion Neculce », we set out to mark not only the remarkable past of our institution, but also to look with confidence and enthusiasm to the future. The need to provide our students with new perspectives and role models is essential in modern education. Through these meetings, we want to inspire and guide young people in self-knowledge and in setting their life goals. We are grateful to the renowned graduates who, together with us, the teaching staff, demonstrate that are dedicated to training a generation of young people who are confident, curious and able to face the challenges of a rapidly changing and complex world“, said Prof. Andreea Drăguleț, director of the “Ion Neculce” College.
The first edition of the “#SiEuSuntNeculce” project takes place on April 18, has over 250 participants, and among the invited speakers are:
· Mihai Marcu, CEO of MedLife and founder of Romanian Business Leaders, a graduate of the college in 1989, who will share his experience in the field of entrepreneurship;
· Vlad Zamfirescu, actor and director, graduated in 1992, who will talk about the role of art and creativity in personal development;
· Sabrina Preda, Journalist and Presenter of Antena 3 CNN, graduated in 2012, who will share her experience in media and communication.
The event takes place in the institution's gym, and participants have the opportunity to spend up to 180 minutes in an interactive and inspirational atmosphere.
With over 1,000 students and over 100 teaching staff, the “Ion Neculce” National College represents an important hub for the education and training of young people in our community. Each year, approximately 250 students graduate from high school, ready to begin their own paths to success and personal fulfillment.
