“I always wanted to play a vampire. So the role of Rhea in the movie was perfect for me! And the mix of fantasy horror and stark realism in this movie created an unforgettable experience. The prize was awarded for her outstanding performance in the main role in the film “Bad Wings” directed by Alexandra Pater. For this role, Mădălina learned sign language for several weeks under the instruction of Richard Platt, with the support of the recognized Light Into Europe organization for the efforts made to help the visually and hearing impaired community in our country.
The film “Bad Wings” enjoyed acclaim at numerous festivals in the United States and Europe, being awarded, among others, the Award for Best Director, given to Alexandra Pater at the International Film Festival in Brussels, Belgium.
More than eight years ago, Mădălina Bellariu Ion managed to get an important role in one of the most successful television productions of the last decade. It is about the series “The Young Pope”. In the series, Mădălina played alongside the famous Jude Law.
Mădălina Bellariu Ion is a graduate of the Faculty of Letters in Bucharest, later going to London, where she attended several acting courses at important institutions such as The Actors Temple and the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art.
