Diaspora vote
We remind you that the Romanians from New Zealand were the first to vote in the diaspora, but most voters are expected at the polls today and tomorrow.
Romanian citizens with the right to vote who live outside the territory of Romania or are temporarily abroad can vote in the presidential elections at any of the precincts organized outside the country, based on an identity document issued by the Romanian state, valid on the day of voting.
Voting abroad in the first round of the presidential elections will take place over three days.
The list of polling station locations abroad is available HERE.
“Overseas voting may be extended, apart from Sunday, November 24, 2024, and on Friday, November 22, and Saturday, November 23, 2024. Thus, overseas polling stations may remain open until 23:59 local time if at 9:00 p.m. there are still voters in the offices or in line, outside of them, who failed to exercise their right to vote”, transmitted the MAE.
The Central Electoral Office issued a communication in this regard, available HERE.
