The plenary of the Parliament approved, on Wednesday evening, the draft budget on 2025, after the Marathon debates in the plenary and the specialized commissions. There were 254 votes “for” and 192 “against”.

The budget is built on an economic growth of 2.5% and a budget deficit of 7% of GDP.
The debates in the plenary reunited lasted about seven hours, and the commission discussions for more than 20 hours. 192 deputies and senators voted against the law of the state budget for 2025. 447 parliamentarians were in the room.
The Minister of Finance, Tanczos Barna, said on Wednesday night, after the state budget for 2025, that the conditions for “supporting the development of the country are thus met by record investments, the resources to ensure the payment of salaries and pensions, to restore the balance in the finances of the country” , according to news.ro.
In the draft state budget were made, in the budget committees, about 60 changes, which were approved by the plenary.
Also, the law of the state social insurance budget for 2025 was adopted, with 255 votes “for” and 192 votes “against”.
