The President of the Chamber of Deputies, Ciprian Șerban, announced on Tuesday that 240 positions have been identified that will be abolished, following the decision to reorganize the budget apparatus. Most of them are at the Chairman’s Chancellery, the Cabinets of the Permanent Bureau, the Commissions President’s Offices and the commission work apparatus, where 71 positions will be eliminated.

At the Transport and Administrative Department, as well as at the Technological Development Center, 45 positions will be abolished.
“Following the decision to resigning the budgetary apparatus, assumed by the PSD-PNL-UDMR-national, the management of the Chamber of Deputies, together with the specialized apparatus, started an analysis of the institution’s organizational chart. As a result of this process, 240 were identified ITEMS What is to be abolished ” announces the president of the Chamber of Deputies.
The Legislative Department and the Technical Secretariat (the Chairman of the President, the Cabinets of the Permanent Bureau, the Commission President’s Offices and their work apparatus) will give up 71 positions. The Cabinet of the Secretary General and the offices of his deputies will lose 17 positions, while at the Communication Directorate, the Directorate for Promoting the Parliamentary Activity and the Informatics Directorate will be eliminated 15 positions. The economic and human resources departments will abolish, in total, 14 positions, and at the level of a deputy secretary will be abolished.
Other posts that will be abolished are:
– the control direction and the audit service – 8 positions;
– the direction of parliamentary studies and the external direction and protocol -13 positions;
– Transport and Administrative Department, Center for Technological Development – 45 positions;
– Directorate of Internal Affairs, Operational Technical Directorate and Public Procurement Directorate – 19 positions;
– International Conference Center – 37 positions.
The President of the Chamber of Deputies stressed that the whole process will comply with the legislation in force regarding the social dialogue.
“Discussions took place with the representatives of the unions and it was reiterated that the legal provisions regarding collective redundancies will be respected. The 35 million lei saved annually from the salary tire will be accompanied by savings generated by the efficiency of the institution’s directing expenses.
The proposal for the new organizational chart will be subjected, on Wednesday, January 29, to the approval of the Permanent Bureau, then will be presented in the plenary of the Chamber of Deputies for adoption ”says Ciprian Şerban.
