Corina Caragea, the presenter of sports news from PRO TV, gave herself a holiday in the Maldives, famous for its sensational beaches with turquoise water, at the beginning of this year. However, the star’s vacation was not one that she imagined. She recounted her experience on her personal blog, being particularly dissatisfied with the accommodation conditions.
“I’m in a room on the water, from the bathroom I have stairs directly into the ocean, from time to time a shark passes below. I haven’t slept in fear for two nights. I hear the waves crashing, I look at the life jackets sitting on the wardrobe. I saw them first when I entered. The wardrobe looks as old as me, like all the furniture in this room. The curtain on the bathtub, yellowed by the weather, the toilet broken, two sockets that only work sometimes, an empty box of chips included in the price, the refrigerator and the air conditioner are roaring loudly, and in the bathroom… a tiny crab is crawling towards the bathtub. I’m not in 1974 in a resort, at a guesthouse of two daisies. I’m in the Maldives, have you forgotten? But let me tell you what it’s really like in Paradise“, said Corina Caragea on her blog.

At the same time, the prices of the services he benefited from seemed excessively high: $158 for two hours of snorkeling, $116 for 15 minutes of jet skiing, $420 for a one-minute video filmed with a drone, and $320 for 10 pictures. A pizza cost up to 46 euros, and a massage – 160 dollars per hour.
“I’m in the Maldives for the second time, I don’t know if I’ll come again. The first one was never in the plan either, it just didn’t appeal to me, it seemed like a dry, empty destination, but I said it’s worth a try, I’m still lucky to be able to get there. (…) I haven’t taken a bigger holiday than this one. And I don’t mean the weather, I was unlucky here. It’s just that Instagram… is not the whole reality. What I paid has nothing to do with what I found here.” Corina Caragea also said.
