Daciana Sârbu chose to celebrate her boyfriend’s birthday on vacation, far from Romania. After breaking up with Victor Ponta, the businesswoman rebuilt her love life and does not shy away from appearing with her new partner in public moments.
“Happy Birthday!”Daciana Sârbu sent on Instagram, alongside a romantic photo, but keeping the lover’s identity hidden. The two were also surprised at the airport, a sign that they started the vacation together. In addition, she shared some pictures from the getaway, such as the scenery and the coffee served during the relaxing moments.

About the current relationship, Daciana Sârbu told Click: “The reaction was quite surprising, I didn’t think it would arouse so much interest, especially since I usually don’t share things from my privacy. I don’t hide, I did it very naturally as I do, in fact, all the things I expose in my life and on social media. I don’t hide, I don’t lie, I’m fine, calm, but the silence gave me this whole process in which I worked with myself.”
“I feel in balance with myself, and I think there was no way I could achieve this balance if I didn’t go through some things that forced me to change, to be concerned with how I feel and what I want.” When asked about marriage, Daciana was honest: “I don’t know! Only life will decide that!”, she added.
According to the information published in the press, her boyfriend’s name is Alex Ghionea and he works in the HoReCa field, their closeness being natural considering that Daciana owns a confectionery chain. The paparazzi have caught them together since August in various relaxed poses, on terraces or in parks in Bucharest.
About the former marriage with Victor Ponta: Daciana Sârbu and Victor Ponta were married for over 25 years, their relationship ending discreetly at the beginning of 2025. In a show broadcast on Antena Stars, the former prime minister said: “Of course! Yes! How not to blame yourself for something like that? (no – divorce) On the other hand, life is complicated. It’s important to make decisions at some point not to make things worse, but to make them better! What every woman deserves: more attention, more care, more affection. It’s normal, after all! We men are colder, more pragmatic. I want all women in the world to be happy, especially for that I have daughters. We don’t always make women happy.”
