The latest Verifield opinion poll, commissioned by USR, places PSD head Marcel Ciolacu and AUR head George Simion in the first two places in the race for Cotroceni. The two are followed by Elena Lasconi, Mircea Geoană. The PNL president is placed fifth in voting intention.

The poll places PSD leader Marcel Ciolacu in first place in terms of voting intention for the presidential elections, with 26.%, followed by George Simion, with 18.8%, and Elena Lasconi, with 17.1%, who is at a difference of 1.7 percent from the leader AUR.
In fourth place is the independent candidate Mircea Geoană with 8.1%, and in fifth place is the PNL candidate Nicolae Ciucă with 7.3%.

According to the data provided, all five candidates are down compared to the beginning of November, apart from PSD candidate Marcel Ciolacu, who increased by 0.4 percent.
An increase was also registered in the case of the independent candidate Călin Georgescu, placed in 6th place, with 4.9%, in the case of the independent candidate Cristian Diaconescu, placed in seventh place, with 6.8%, but also in the case of the UDMR candidate, Kelemen Hunor, ranked eighth, with 4.7%.
The survey was carried out between November 8-14, using the CATI method (telephone interviews), and the research method is Interview through the questionnaire. The SRS sample (simple random sampling); volume: N = 968, representative of the socio-demographic variables, with a maximum allowed data error of ±3.12%, at a confidence level of 95%.
