Premiere in the Romanian motorsport: the first drift race held at night will take place at Transylvania Motor Ring

The first stage of the history of the National Drift Championship that will take place on the night will take place at the end of this week on the Transylvania Motor Ring circuit, where they announced their presence in almost 70 pilots from 6 countries, informs Rodrift.

The second stage of season 2025 is noted not only by its development during the night, but also by the extended international participation. At the beginning, pilots from six countries are announced: Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Hungary, Republic of Moldova and Norway. Until Wednesday, almost 70 pilots were registered, among them being Gabi Imre Jr, Natalia Iocsak, Claudiu Adam, Sorin Ene, Mikloș Laszlo and Cărălin Trifan.

The official program of the competition begins on Thursday, June 19, with a public presentation of the pilots and a meeting with fans (Meet & Greet), scheduled at 7:00 pm, in the parking lot of Shopping City Târgu Mureș.

Since Friday, the action moves to Transylvania Motor Ring. Starting at 2:30 pm, on Friday the workouts were scheduled, while the evening begins with a Drift Experience session, addressed to the spectators, and from midnight will be the qualifications: the semipro category at 00:00 and the Pro category at 01:30.

On Saturday, June 21, the training will continue, and in the second part of the day the eliminatory duels will take place. Battles are scheduled in the NOCTURN range: Semipro at 00:00, and Pro at 01:30, followed by the awards ceremony, estimated around 03:00, on Sunday morning. The Transilvania Motor Ring Circuit, located near Târgu Mureș, is the largest permanent racing circuit in Romania.

The stage organized by Rodrift thus marks a premiere for Romanian motorsport, being the first official drift competition held in a night regime, with dedicated lighting on the competition route. In addition to the competition itself, the public will have access to related activities, including camping area, food court, relaxation spaces and demonstrative moments.

The organizers also announce live broadcasts of the key moments through the Rodrift.ro/live platform. According to estimates, the event organized for the first time will attract more than 5,000 spectators during the three days, confirming its reference status in the motor sports calendar in Romania.
