The exhibition, entitled “Heart of Romania”, took place at the Shaw Theater in London, with hundreds of guests present at the event, including the well-known actor Constantin Cotimanis.
Cristian Dragomirescu exhibited in London a collection of over 25 icons of different sizes, including 10 miniatures, all worked in Byzantine style and polished with gold leaf. In addition to icons, the Romanian priest also exhibited some portraits of great Romanian personalities, such as King Mihai, George Enescu, Ștefan Luchian or Vasile Alecsandri.
“When my friends found out that I will have an exhibition in London, they all wished me “Success!”. And I asked myself what do they mean by success: recognition, money, fame? Success, in my opinion, is the joy of people being together in a moment of sharing the beauty and joy of life, as it was in London. This is an exhibition of icons, of portraits, this is a play, a joy experienced together! There is nothing else. Success, perhaps, is sharing this joy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Ms. Mădălina Apopei and Event Up.uk, for organizing this event that brought so much joy to the hearts of many people”says priest Cristian Dragomirescu.
Before the opening of the exhibition, the actors Constantin Cotimanis, Iulia Dumitru and Victoria Bobu were on the stage of the theater in London, for the premiere of the play “Ah, the man Alas, the woman”.
