Standing next to Sorin Grindeanu on the construction site on sections 1 and 4 of the Craiova-Pitesti Expressway, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu was curious to personally try on the watch of the Minister of Transport, which part of the media wrote was very expensive.

Journalists present at the works on Section 1 and Section 4 of the Craiova-Pitesti Expressway took advantage of the presence of the Minister of Transport to clarify the situation regarding his watch, which was the subject of discussions related to its value, according to Antena 3 .
For his part, Sorin Grindeanu did not miss the opportunity to mock the liberal Rareș Bogdan, who last year was seen at the market with a watch that was said to cost tens of thousands of euros.
“It’s cheaper than some people’s handkerchiefs,” he said, obviously referring to the PNL MEP.
Curious, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu asked the Minister of Transport for the watch and tried it on, to see it better, and then returned it to him.
Recently accused of hiding his watch before some press statements, Sorin Grindeanu explained the fact that he has been wearing the same watch for many years, only that at one point he had a problem with the strap, which he had to solve.
“I saw it too, I’m not hiding from you, it’s the same. Please check, I have the same year, please check in the archives; it’s the same watch that I’ve had for years, which had a problem with the clasp, with the telescope here, a small problem was solved, that’s why I took it down. If it was an expensive watch, I would have had it in my asset statement.
I have the same watch on my wrist. I have seen this concern and this news that has been pushed these days. I think it’s cheaper than the handkerchief of some who pushed this news. I have only one watch, this one. I am able to exchange the watch of someone who goes to the market. We exchange, on the spot and which went to the market – you know who I mean. I agree to exchange”, said Sorin Grindeanu.
The irony was addressed to Rareş Bogdan, who last November was seen with a Rolex watch at the market. His reply then was that he is a self-assured man, who allows himself to choose what accessories and what suits he likes and that he is not the type to go to the market in overalls.
