The “Year of Art Films” from the National Art Museum of Romania debuted with the screening of “Titian. Empire of Color”, sold out event, which delighted the audience of all ages, and continues on Friday, April 5, from 19:00, with the screening of the documentary film “Jeff Koons. The portrait of a life”.

The project, carried out by Happy Cinema in partnership with the National Art Museum of Romania, invites the beauty-loving public, between March and December 2024, to a series of monthly screenings of spectacular art documentaries in the Auditorium Hall of MNAR (entrance Str. Știrbei Voda No. 1).

“Jeff Koons. “Portrait of a Life” is a captivating documentary film exploring the life and remarkable works of the famous contemporary artist Jeff Koons. In this film, the spectacle of art intertwines with the artist's personal story, offering an intimate insight into his creative genius and his impact on the modern art world. It is a fascinating foray into the unique universe of Jeff Koons and an impressive journey into the world of contemporary art. Jeff Koons is widely regarded as one of the most influential, popular and controversial artists of the past 30 years. Koons transforms everyday, mass-produced objects into the highest forms of art.

The partnership between the National Art Museum of Romania and Happy Cinema offers the public an alternative space dedicated to film screenings, such as the Auditorium Hall, as well as a memorable cultural and educational experience suitable for the whole family. Participants will have the opportunity to watch documentary films about famous painters of international fine art. This partnership represents a bridge between the worlds of cinema and the arts, and the public has the opportunity not only to enjoy outstanding cinematographic works, but also to become more deeply acquainted with the world of art in a high-class museum setting.
