PSD does not support Iulian Dumitrescu's candidacy for a new mandate at the Prahova County Council, the party's president, Marcel Ciolacu, said on Thursday.

“I do not support Mr. Iulian Dumitrescu and neither does the PSD. PSD will not support Iulian Dumitrescu, it has its own candidate in the person of Mr. Nanu la Prahova, for the County Council, and he will win the County Council”stated Ciolacu, at the Parliament Palace.
The President of the Prahova County Council (CJ), Iulian Dumitrescu, investigated by the DNA for acts of corruption, will run for a new mandate as head of the CJ, PNL Prahova announced on Wednesday evening.
“The liberal mayors of Prahova county sent an open letter to the leadership of the National Liberal Party in which they express themselves support for candidacy to Iulian Dumitrescu with a view to a new mandate as president of the CJ. The request was also materialized through a decision taken today, 20.03.2024, unanimously, within the County Board of Directors of PNL Prahova”, it is stated in a press release sent by PNL Prahova.
