Unbeaten in this debut of the season, Rapid was about to suffer the first defeat right in front of the FCSB rival. The champion totally controlled the match on the National Arena, had 2-0 and passed 3-0 (Ngezana bar), but was miraculous by Giulesti in the last 7 regulatory minutes.

The guests opened the scoring quickly, through Lixandru, who scored with a header, in the 7th minute. Rapid replied through the shot over Alex Dobre, from the 24th minute and the first half ended with Charalambous students to the advantage, 1-0. At the red-blue break they made three changes, and one of the new entrances, Bîrligea, shot dangerous in the 48th minute. Târnovanu rejected Alex Dobre’s shot, in the 56th minute, for Bîrligea to receive from Baba Alhassan, in the 61st minute, to enter the opponent’s difference.
He entered the second half, Koljic sent his head slightly next to the gate, in the 65th minute, after which Ngezana had the chance to close the match, hitting the crossbar with a header, in the 79th minute. After 80 minutes in which he played perfectly, FCSB fell inexplicably. Koljic inscribed beautifully, with the heel, from the box (83), for the Bosnian to score for 2-2, in the second minute of extensions, after a gift made by Ngezana, who wanted to dribble near his own square and lost the ball. Rapid could get all three points, but Lars Kramer (90+4) sent his head over the gate from 3 meters, to a corner.

The Giulestii are in second place in the Superliga standings, with 12 points, while FCSB remains at the tail of the hierarchy, in the 13th position, with only 5 points.
