The first vice-president of the PNL, Rareș Bogdan, mocked the way in which the discussions about the candidate of the Coalition for the Capital are evolving, given that the names of people who have little to do with politics are being circulated on a daily basis.

“I wanted to call maestro Cristoiu, with whom I did shows for about three years, and ask him: what are you doing, maestro, are you applying? Actually it's Cîrstoiu, not Cristoiu. I don't know this gentleman. I understand he's a dentist. No, by the teeth, by the knees. I don't have problems with my knees, fortunately my knees still hold“, said Rareș Bogdan, first vice-president of the PNL, in front of the party headquarters in Aleea Modrogan.

On Friday they told me that Mr. Florescu was a candidate. I quickly Googled, I saw that he is an extremely popular gentleman. The Capital is looking for an optimal solution, if the optimal solution is Mr. Cîrstoiu, we go to Cîrstoiu“, added the representative of the liberals.
In fact, Rareș Bogdan stated that if it were up to him, the solution would be Sebastian Burduja, i.e. the head of PNL Bucharest, a variant that was agreed from the start and by other leaders in the party, if the scenario were to be followed in which each formation of the Coalition had own candidate.
The head of the PNL, Nicolae Ciucă, stated that doctor Cătălin Cîrstoiu has a chance to win the Capital City Hall, if he will run for PSD and PNL. It was also reiterated that there will be joint candidacies for the General Council and Local Councils from the sectors.
