16 years is a human life. It’s the place where I stayed the most (…) There’s also wear and tear that sets in and, at some point, you feel like you want to do something else“, the journalist declared on Ionuț Cristache’s show.

Dumitrescu said that longevity in the press cannot be explained by a universal recipe and that each journalist builds his own path. He recalled that he went through almost every stage of the profession, from reporter and editor to producer of radio and television shows.

I did about everything that could be done in the press. I was a reporter, I was an editor, I was a news agency reporter, I was a radio reporter, I had radio shows“, he said.

The journalist also recalled his television debut, at TV SOTI, where he arrived almost by chance. He came for a position as a sound engineer, but was directed to take a voice test.

Răzvan Dumitrescu’s departure from Antena 3 CNN was announced at the end of the May 31 edition of the “Subjective” show, when the journalist told viewers that it was his last show for the station. After almost 16 years spent at Antena 3, he stated that he will remain in the media, but in a different format. According to the publication Pagina de Media, Dumitrescu later declared that he would continue the projects carried out within DC News, a platform he founded together with Bogdan Chirieac, and ruled out, for the moment, a return to a classic television.
