Răzvan Lucescu won the title of champion of Greece with PAOK Thessaloniki

Răzvan Lucescu managed to win the title of Greek football champion with PAOK Thessaloniki, after the 2-1 victory at home to his fellow countryman Aris Salonic, achieved on Sunday, in the last stage of the play-off, writes AGERPRES.

PAOK Thessaloniki prevailed after playing the last part of the game with ten men, following the elimination of defender Gianni Michailidis (min. 78).

PAOK Thessaloniki scored the first through the Spaniard Brandon Thomas (30), Aris equalized through another Spaniard, Loren Moron (47), PAOK Thessaloniki's victory was brought by the Brazilian Taison (62).

It should be noted that Aris defeated PAOK in both direct matches this year with 2-1 (home) and 1-0 (away).

PAOK Thessaloniki topped the table with 80 points, followed by last season's champions AEK Athens with 78 points, Olympiakos Piraeus with 74 points, Panathinaikos with 72 points, Aris Thessaloniki with 55 points, Lamia with 35 points .

Răzvan Lucescu won his second title with PAOK, after the one in 2019. Lucescu also won two Greek Cups with the team from Thessaloniki (2018, 2019), finishing second twice (2018, 2022) and competing in two more cup finals (2022, 2023).
