Realitatea TV, a record fine for the false video broadcast in Ancăi Alexandrescu’s show

The National Audiovisual Council (CNA) has again fined Realitatea, for the broadcast of fake news, because of a video that has falsely stated that it is filmed in a supermarket in Romania. The video, broadcast during the show “The Sulces of the Parallel State”, was from another country.

Capture from the original clip that brought to the TV station the huge fine

On Tuesday, the National Audiovisual Council established a huge new fine for the television station, worth 100,000 lei, due to a video broadcast even during the time when Călin Georgescu urged his supporters to boycott the big stores.

It is about the images with a man who would have entered a store with a box from which the Romanian folk music was heard, about which the CNA representatives say it is a fake, because, in reality, the video was from a store in Ukraine, and the musical background was a piece of the Rock AC/DC band.

“How beautiful, how inventive are the Romanians, how original are they and how beautiful the Romanians who meet these moments live!”, Comment the presenter Anca Alexandrescu the respective images.

Following over 150 complaints from viewers who noticed that it was misinformation, the CNA analyzed the file and decided to amend the television station.

In the online environment, jokes are already circulating on the fine received by Realitatea Plus from the CNA.

What do Realitatea Plus representatives say

On the other hand, the representative of the post Realitatea Plus, Mihăiţă Avram, apologized to the viewers, explaining that it was an error, because, being taken over by his colleagues, they did not verify his veracity.

“That video was an error. My colleagues actually took him from the walk. The next day I know that this was discussed, they realized that the video was not real. I do not know exactly if Mrs. Alexandrescu said the next day in the show that that video was not real. We are sorry for this situation ”, said Mihăiţă Avram, the representative of Realitatea Plus, quoted by Paginademedia.
