Romania has nine crews in the medal finals at the Under-23 European Rowing Championships

Romania entered the finals of the Under-23 European Rowing Championships in Edirne with nine crews, and seven of them competed in the preliminary races on Friday.

In the women’s coxed four sculls, Romania, represented by Delia Mirabela Grădinaăciuc, Iuliana Isabela Boldea, Estera Vîlceanu, Larisa Bogdan and Rucsandra-Ioana Bucșa, won the preliminary race (07:11:28), according to Agerpres.

Also, in the same test, the men’s team of our country (Cristian-Vasile Nicoară, Ionuț Pavel, Andrei Vatamaniuc, Sergiu Anfimov and Maria-Antonia Iancu), won the preliminary race (06:22:58).

In the women’s double sculls, Daria-Ioana Dinculescu and Georgiana Blănariu won the preliminary race (07:30.28).

The crew formed by Beatrice Piseru, Denisa Cristina Ailincai, Petruţa-Ionela Popa, Georgelia Stoica won the preliminary race and the women’s four-frame race (07:10.51).

Andrada Maria Moroşanu and Iulia Bălăucă won the second series in women’s double rowing (07:14.20) and qualified for Final A.

Romania, represented by Mariana-Laura Dumitru, Manuela-Gabriela Lungu, Emanuela Ioana Ciotău, Patricia Cireş, won the women’s four row preliminary race (06:39.95).

In men’s eight plus one, Romania (Costi-Daniel Neagoe, Andrei Hemen, Cristian-Vasile Nicoară, Ionuţ Pavel, Andrei Vatamaniuc, Sergiu Anfimov, Andrei Mândrilă, Leontin Nuţescu, Maria-Antonia Iancu) prevailed in the preliminary race (05:57.74 ).

And in women’s eight plus one, Daria-Ioana Dinulescu, Andreea Nicoleta Dinu, Ana-Maria Mătran, Larisa Bogdan, Delia Mirabela Grădinăciuc, Georgiana Blănariu, Estera Vîlceanu, Elena-Diana Suta, Rucsandra-Ioana Bucşa won the preliminary race (06: 38.61).

Romania had 14 crews, and five of them will enter requalifications.

In the men’s four frames, Sebastian Timiş, Andrei Hemen, Constantin Emanuele Sterea and Eduard Angel Moldovan took second place in the first series (06:19.71), after Switzerland (06.09.88). The Romanian team will play in the requalifications on Saturday.

In the men’s single sculls, Constantin Alexandru Roiu took fourth place in the first heat (07:34.21), so he will have to participate in requalification.

In the women’s single sculls, Bianca Camelia Ifteni will have to start in requalifications, after finishing second in the first heat (07:51.47), after the representative of Switzerland (07:40.23)

Antonel Avăcăriţei and Jan Andrei Bercea took the third place in the second series in men’s double rowing (06:48.54), after Greece (06:36.11) and Lithuania (06:40.95), going to participate in the requalifications.

In the men’s four oar race, Dragos Valentin Peia, Silviu-Marian Dumitriu, Ştefan Bogdan Moaleş, Ilie Lucian Aparaschivei ranked fourth in the first series (06:07.46), after Poland (06:00.37), Turkey (06 :02.77) and Greece (06:04.68), so they will continue in the requalifications.
