“After two years of dealing with numerous problems and injuries, which have complicated my career, now I am ready and my time is not over. I can't wait to get back into the elite, and on March 9th I will prove it. I'm fighting in the Glory gala in Arnhem, Holland, and I'm ready for anything. I will give everything in the ring. Thank you to all of you who have faith in me. Up Romania!” Benny announced on social media.
Unanimous decision of the referees
However, our athlete did not cope in the Arnhem pyramid and lost the match with the Moroccan Nabil Khachab, 23 years old, a fighter 16 years younger than the Romanian and with a physique that leads to the thought of something else, not just sports. The African (27-4-1, 4 KOs KO) subjected Benjamin Adegbuyi (35-8, 20 KOs) to a rain of punches and legs and won by unanimous decision. “I didn't lose this fight!”the Romanian wrote, on Facebook, at the end of the gala in Holland, considering that he gave a strong reply to his opponent.
The Glory Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament took place in a 25,000-seat arena and offered huge prizes. The winner, the famous Rico Verhoeven, prevailed after 3 games and collected 500,000 euros.
