The draft law that provides for the second package of fiscal measures comprises many more impact changes on natural persons and companies, compared to what Minister Alexandru Nazare presented on Wednesday, and the new measures have attracted the attention of the Internet users, especially as they include new taxes and major changes or AirBNB type services. “I hope that Prime Minister Bolojan will come up with details and not leave the impression that again the taxes for the population are increased, for companies and the public expenses that must be reduced again ”, draws the attention of economic analyst Adrian Negrescu.

“Currently it seems we will have a golden government + the extremists who survive until then”, Points an internet in a discussion on the Reddit platform, anticipating such a result in 4 years or even earlier, in the case of anticipated elections. His opinion is divided by many Romanians who wonder why the second package strikes in the private environment with previously unannounced measures.
“Pack 2 did not cut the special pensions and reduced the state’s expenses?“, Writes another user. The answer comes some comments below: >says another internet.
Concerns about the new measures
A discussion started on the Airbnb Bucharest Facebook page refers to the new measures taken in the case of those who rent short -term buildings, including changing the tax mode. “Those who declare will have to increase prices very much to remain with the same money as before”, Points out one of the Internet users.
Another one says the new measures “It sounds very discouraging because the lump (no 30%) is on gross, not on profit-practically the tax and the CASS are calculated as if you have no expenses ”.
In their case, the measures are richer. The owners must use electronic fiscal markers and issue vouchers, and the tax paid will be 10% applied to the net income, in which a new determination system is introduced, by deducting the gross income established by applying a 30% lump sum on the annual gross income.
Confusion in public space
Throughout this discussion, financial analyst Iancu Guda intervenes in a Facebook post, stating that “Many essential reforms are already designed for increasing multinational taxation, for reducing the waste in the public sector, the reform of the state companies that have losses, the capping of the winnings in the state administration, the elimination of the self, for the special pensions reform.”but the real reforms are blocked.
The expert points out that the blockage causes the revolt of the Romanians, being part of a “brilliant game” of the PSD: “It blocks the coalition and the vital reforms that follow, eroding the confidence of the population in Ilie Bolojan, because the world thinks they are only increased taxes and only the people suffer.” The game does not stop here.
“Through this movement PSD wants to give the brass on the face of the sovereigns: I am not at all antisystem, it would always make a pact with the power system (…) a movement through which the sovereign electorate realizes that he is stupid and returns from where he came from, that is.
“The simple communication and the meaning of everyone of the measures of austerity, the restructuring of the public spending, the practical reduction of the waste is absolutely necessary” – Adrian Negrescu, economist
People are rightly confused, while some measures are blocked, points out the economic analyst Adrian Negrescu for “Adevărul”. Also, the result of confusion in society brings more serious repercussions.
“What we see at the moment in public consultation is only the part of the Ministry of Finance, not the entire package of measures in the package 2. I hope that Prime Minister Bolojan will come up with details and not leave the impression that again the taxes for the population are increased, for companies and the public expenses that must be reduced in the year. The mission to maintain the budget deficit in under 8% will be almost impossible (…)
The simple communication and the meaning of all the measures of austerity, the restructuring of the public expenses, of practical reduction of the waste is absolutely necessary to be done in the next period, with all the necessary means. The ministers, Prime Minister Bolojan, the Minister of Finance Nazare have to go out in the public space to explain more simply why these measures are taken. Because, unfortunately, the perception of the public is one influenced by this theory of conspiracy that works on the Internet ”, Adrian Negrescu also points out.
A project that provides for the change of retirement rules and decreased pensions in the case of magistrates is put in public transparency by the Ministry of Labor. However, it does not take into account the CCR judges, another harsh criticized aspect: “By decoupling the CCR pensions from those of the magistrates, the practical government creates a new (super) special pension in Romania. No matter what reforms you make to the pensions of the magistrates, even if you completely eliminate their special character, those of the CCR judges will remain self.points out lawyer Toni Neacșu.
