Road traffic will be closed on Monday, July 6, on several road sections of DN 7C – Transfăgărășan for two events, one being a sports event and the other, a private photo session with cars.
The Infotraffic Center of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police announces that, on July 6, 2026, road traffic will be closed on several road sections of DN 7C – Transfăgărăşan, for the holding of two events, namely the “Cyclist Tour of Sibiu” and a private photo – video car session
Thus, between the hours of 07:30 – 18:00 – traffic closure in the Bâlea Lac Tunnel (DN 7C, km. 115+926 – 116+808 meters), in both directions; between the hours of 08:00 – 13:30 – closure of traffic at Cabana Bâlea Lac (DN 7C, km. 117 – 130); between 09:00 – 13:30 – traffic closure on the kilometer segment 141 (Cabana Vama Cucului) and 130 (Cabana Bâlea Cascada); between 12:45 – 16:15 – traffic closure on the kilometer section 147+785 meters (intersection between DN 7C with DJ 105P) and 116+800 (Bâlea Lac) and between 13:30 – 18:00 – traffic closure between kilometers 141 (Cabana Vama Cucului) and 116+800 meters (Bâlea Lake).
“Considering the extent of the traffic restrictions established during the day of July 6, as well as the successive development of the two events, we recommend drivers to avoid traveling on DN 7C Transfăgărăşan and to respect the traffic signals temporarily installed on the spot, as well as the indications of the traffic police, present on the spot to direct the traffic“, states the cited source.
