Singer Randi was caught driving drunk in February. The artist refused to be tested with the drugtest device, but the blood tests revealed that he had consumed psychoactive substances.
“On February 11 this year, at around 4:00 p.m., policemen from the Ilfov County Police Inspectorate stopped a car driven by a 40-year-old man in traffic, on DN 1, in the area of Săftica, who they asked him to undergo testing with the drugtest device, but he refused. The person in question was taken to a hospital unit, where biological samples were taken, to establish the possible presence of psychoactive substances in the body”IPJ Ilfov announces on Sunday.
The toxicological analysis bulletin of the National Institute of Forensic Medicine (INML) confirms the presence of psychoactive substances in the body. According to some sources, he had consumed cannabis and cocaine before getting behind the wheel, writes Observator.
As a result, the Public Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Buftea Court opened a criminal case against the singer for the crime of driving a vehicle on public roads under the influence of psychoactive substances.
Andrei Ștefan Ropcea, or Randi as he is known, is a long-lived artist on the Romanian scene. He was part of the Morandi band, alongside Marius Moga.
The last controversy in which he was involved was at the music festival “Beach, please!”, held in July, in Costinești. Disturbed by the whistling of the spectators, he left the stage, but later understood the reason. They were trying to convey to him that someone in the audience had passed out and the show needed to be stopped.
“We were not told what it was about and what really happened. Someone had passed out to the right of the stage, and people wanted us to stop the show so that the rescue could come in and do what they were meant to do. We didn’t know that. Only after I left the stage did I understand what had happened. We were not informed”said Randi
