Sociologist “disgusted” by one of the topics at the evaluation: “Those children are invisible for a crooked system”

Gelu Sunday claims that thousands of students have never been on a trip because of poverty.

“At the eighth-grade evaluation, the students had to make a composition to tell an incident that they lived on a trip. I admit, I disgusted the lack of knowledge of the social realities in Romania of those who did, and validated the subjects. Thousands of students, of those who gave the national exam today, were not in their lives on a trip. Not because they would not have wished, but only because their families are too poor to allow such an expense. Many of them are broken by the field work, the care of the animals, passed through the house or in any other activity through which they can help their family give «branches at poverty»“, Gelu wrote on Facebook.

In the opinion of the sociologist, to ask for a composition to some students, who have no foundation in reality and knowledge, is “Discriminatory”.

“Yes, those kids are «hidden» For a crooked and weakly fair system and receive a much weaker quality of education. But to develop a subject by which you ask for a composition for something that 10-15% of the students does not have a foundation in reality and knowledge, it is, from my point of view, discriminatory. Because, from the beginning, do not give equal opportunities. (…) Imagine what it would have been for students in the big urban agglomerations if the subject had been centered on . ”, The sociologist said.
