Thousands of candidates from all over the country have chosen to support, in the test of the profile and specialization, an examination at a discipline that they no longer study in the last two years of high school: plant and animal biology. How the requirements were resolved explained for the “Adevărul” biology teacher Virginia Dumitru.

“The problem related to genetics would not be difficult, except that they have somehow learned with a certain template and when you asked for something else they have difficulties. For those from Technical it will be more difficult ”the teacher appreciated.
It is quite difficult to understand is the fact that this examination discipline is chosen by the candidates despite the fact that it is no longer studied in the 11th and 12th grades, although the students would have three other disciplines: physics, chemistry or computer science. The teachers from the technological high schools, says Prof. Virginia Dumitru, have no opportunity to propose to the students, as things are today, an optional in the 12th grade, so that they can return to the subject studied in the first two years of high school.

The essay from subject III gives the candidates the opportunity to come with their own interpretation, but the graduates from the technical specializations and this essay could have put them in difficulty, because in the program the tissues are not insisted and there is no time for teachers to work additionally. “We make a classification of tissues, but so, we do not enter in many details, because neither time nor the program allows you”, said Prof. Dumitru.

The candidates who chose all the biology, but anatomy and human physiology, were glad from the examination room, considering that the topics were “approachable”.
The candidates supported on Friday, June 13, 2025, the test of choice within the profile and specialization, having a choice, according to the profile, from three to five disciplines, and for most is the last exam, on Monday, June 16, 2025, being scheduled the written test and literature for the graduates who attended the courses in a language.
