80,000 people are expected at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics. The event will take place on Sunday evening at the Stade de France. French authorities have taken special security measures.

The measures are applied in the stadium, around it and on the access roads in the city, including the means of transport. The authorities claim that there is no imminent threat regarding the event and that the draconian measures are preventive.
About 2,000 police officers are participating in the operation. They patrol and will control, including physically, all those who will enter the security perimeter from the side and inside the stadium.
According to the established rules, no one is allowed to enter the stadium without verification and with fireworks, weapons or any object that can be used as a projectile.
In the area of the stadium and other points of interest involved in the event, there will be several checkpoints.
All persons must submit to body searches. All baggage and vehicles entering and exiting the security perimeter will be carefully screened
The closing ceremony of the Olympic Games will start at 22.00.
Weightlifter Mihaela Cambei was designated by COSR as the flag bearer of Team Romania at the Closing Ceremony. The 21-year-old athlete won the silver medal in weightlifting, category 49 kg.
