Former players Robert Pires, Eric de Oliveira and Mirel Rădoi confirmed the presence with other world football legends at the demonstrative match of Brazilian Ronaldinho at Sports Festival 2025 in Cluj-Napoca.

Robert Pires (51 years old), world champion (1998) and European (2000) with France, is one of the most appreciated players in the glory of Premier League, with 84 goals in 284 matches for Arsenal. Recognized for the fine control of the ball and the elegant style of play, as well as for its speed, the French was a reference name in the team that dominated the England championship in the 2000s, under the command of Arsene Wenger.
In the international team they will play: Adriano, Marco Materazzi, Wesley Sneijder, Julio Cesar, Ricardinho, Kevin Kuranyi and Cristian Zaccardo. They will evolve with Ronaldinho, in the most anticipated demonstrative match of the summer, on June 14, 2025, in Barena. The coach of the international team is Felix Luz, a former German striker.
Also during the event, the Romanian team is completed by Eric de Oliveira, the twice winner of the title of “Stranger of the Year” in Liga I (2010 and 2013), and by Mirel Rădoi, former captain and coach of the national.
From Team Romania also belong: Adrian Mutu, Bogdan Lobonț, Răzvan Raț, Cosmin Contra, Adrian Ilie, Alexandru Chipciu and Florin Cernat. The technical staff will be completed by Ioan Ovidiu Sabău, as a coach.
The match will be played in 5+1 format, in two 30 -minute halves, with a 20 -minute break.
The sixth edition of Sports Festival, the largest multi-sport event in Romania dedicated to meal sport, will take place between June 12 and 15, in Cluj-Napoca. The event will be held, as usual, in the area of Cluj Arena Plateau, Stadion Aleea, Radisson Garden, Central Park, Children’s Park near the Stadium and Iuliu Haţieganu Park.
