The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announces that with the approval of the state budget for this year, the AP-STOMA program will also be approved, through which the Ministry of Health will finance dental offices in public hospitals.
Present, on Monday, at the inauguration of a center dedicated to the mental health of young people, Alexandru Rogobete spoke about the AP-STOMA program, through which the Ministry of Health will directly provide funding for medical offices to operate in public health units.
He announced that this program will be approved “soon, with the approval of the budget”, writes News.
Through the AP-STOMA program, dental treatments provided in public hospitals will be financed by the Ministry of Health, being about dental interventions in ambulatory or day hospitalization, including with general anesthesia. This program is intended for both children and adults.
AP-STOMA treatments that can be financed:
– the medication, materials and instruments necessary for dental treatments, including for interventions under general anesthesia
– the analyzes and imaging investigations necessary for the evaluation and monitoring of patients
– essential medical equipment: dental units, radiology and imaging, sterilization, operating room, ATI, laboratory, etc.
– consumables, protective materials and ancillary investigations.
