Tal Berkovich’s brother has died, after the devastating accident in which former contestant Chefi also lost her life

Just hours after Tal Berkovich, a former Chefi knife competitor, died in a car accident in Israel, her brother Gil, who was in the car with her, also passed away. The man was hospitalized in critical condition.

According to the Israeli authorities, the car driven by Tal Berkovich collided with a truck. Also in the car was her brother Gil, 40, who was taken to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheva in critical condition. He died at the hospital from his injuries.

According to reports in the Israeli press, Tal Berkovich was in Israel to visit his family. She posted a photo with the message a few hours ago “home”. The two were on their way to their mother’s birthday party when the accident happened.

The intervention crews specified that the car was completely destroyed, and the resuscitation maneuvers had no result, Tal Berkovich being declared dead on the spot. He was 41 years old.

Born and raised in Kiryat Tivon, near Haifa, Tal Berkovich began as a dancer, collaborating with the Israel Ballet and the Bat-Dor Dance Company, before turning to modeling and acting. At the age of 20 he moved to Milan, where he worked internationally and appeared in prestigious publications such as GQ, Elle and Glamour. He later studied acting in London and acted in television and film productions in Israel, the United States and Great Britain.

A few months before the tragedy, Tal Berkovich participated in the Romanian version of the culinary competition “Chefs la cuțite”. In later interviews, she emphasized that she refused to cook pork and insisted on kosher dietary rules during filming, stating that she wanted to remain authentic.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
