Stefan, told Agerpres on Monday, about his participation in competition and emotions in New York and joy “indescribable” of ranking in the first place.
My experience in the United States in New York was a truly memorable and full of deep emotions. A moment that marked me was the one in which, during the ceremony, the national anthem of Romania was sung. The whole room got up and applauded me. I felt deeply honored, proud to be Romanian and grateful for this unique moment. When I found out that I got the 1st place, with the highest score, I felt an indescribable joy. It was an explosion of emotions, astonishment, pride and gratitude. To know that I brought Romania to the first place in such an important international competition, it was a fulfillment and an honorable responsibility for me
He described right “electrifying” The atmosphere of New York, where he had the opportunity to meet passionate young people and stressed that everywhere he will arrive in the world Romania is always in his heart.
In addition to the competition, I had the chance to discover the beauty of New York. I visited the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park and the Mathematics Museum and, of course, Times Square, with beautiful, powerful lights and electrifying atmosphere. I also met extraordinary people of the kind. And I socialized some with the most intelligent and passionate young people in the world. I tied the valuable friends. It was a joy to share ideas, dreams and visions. I cannot conclude without thanking them with all my heart and all those who contributed to this success, to the teachers who formed me, to those who supported me morally and financially, my family and to all those who believed in me. Without them, none of this would have been possible. Romania has been, is and will always be in my heart, wherever the steps in the world take me
Passionate about knowledge and learning, Eduard Stefan mentioned that in order not to get bored, at airports and during the plane travel, he read the book “Eastern Europe” by Tomek Jankowski.
