The archbishop was asked about this topic in his regular radio show.

According to News.ro, Teodosie believes that it is not moral to donate unpaired organs, but we can donate paired organs, if we are aware that they do not affect our biological life. The way kidneys are, kidney donations are often made,” said the archbishop of Tomis in the show he participates in regularly on a radio station.

Statistics published at the end of April by the leadership of the National Transplant Agency show that the number of organ donors doubled in the first part of this year, compared to the same period last year.

From the beginning of the year until April 25, organs were taken from 26 brain-dead donors and 75 transplants were performed, most of them being kidney and liver.

In two situations, the taken lungs were sent for transplants to hospitals abroad.
