The other day, Paul Adrian Runcan finished second in the EPT Prague poker tournament, collecting a prize of 900,000 euros. In the same competition, the well-known director Dan Chişu also reached the final table, who got his hands on a prize of 106,050 euros.

A big fan of the poker game, he reached the Prague prize with total earnings5 of 1,684,226 dollars, according to the specialized website hendonmob.com. The director is on the 7th place in the ranking of Romanians, the highest prize obtained by him in a single contest being 198,112 dollars.

“I have a favorite joke: at the poker table everyone is an actor. Too bad they got a director.” joking Dan Chișu when it comes to poker. The film man also told in the past how he became passionate about this discipline. “I started learning poker out of pride. It was frustrating to be attracted to the game, but not know how to play it. So I set to work. At the beginning I was ranked 1,100 in Romania, and until recently I was ranked 1 in the country”.
Dan Chișu says that poker is not only about luck. “The world has the impression that he is a gamble. It’s true, luck also matters, but is there a world champion in LOTO? Not! In poker, yes. It’s clearly more than luck. Professionals reduce the need for luck to 0.5 percent. You have to play your position, your card, but also your opponent”.
