The blunder of a Romanian tourist on his way to Greece: “Caution, you put water in gasoline in Bulgaria. The warning light came on”

A Romanian tourist complained on a Facebook group intended for vacations in Greece that he fueled with gasoline mixed with water in Bulgaria. The man says his “check-in engine light came on” right after he fueled up.

The Romanian tourist wrote what happened on the “Forum Thassos” group on Facebook.

“Caution at the Shell gas station up to Makaza…water in the gas…the check-in light came on….water in the gas…I also filled 3 cars with diesel so far nothing….for gas the light came on …So steer clear of Shell to Makaza 30-40km…..at least on petrol. And last year it was written. ..too bad……the Friday night picture from the gas station...the Romanian tourist wrote on “Thassos Forum”.

“I never refuel less than 100 kilometers from customs. Wherever I was, I roasted myself, especially at Bulgarians with diesel“, wrote a netizen.

“There I discovered that there was about five liters more diesel in the tank”, wrote another tourist.

However, there are also people who say that, in fact, it is an electrical problem with the car.

“Do you have a problem with the car, it has nothing to do with the Check -in Engine, there are many reasons why it can light up, do a test and see what problem you have. If there was water, you would just leave there instead of being pushed.” wrote a tourist.

“The check engine light does not come on when there is water in the fuel, but it is a warning in general on the electrical side. After the diagnosis, you determine the cause…induction coil, spark plugs, sensors, etc.! Good luck!”, another person commented.
